President Barack Obama is nearing the final stretch of his time in the oval office and conversations have already begun to circulate as to what he will do with his time afterward. With that being said, White House press secretary Josh Earnest has shared that President Obama is interested in perhaps owning an NBA team. He goes on to say that it would have to be under the ideal circumstances, which would most likely have the POTUS joining an NBA franchise’s ownership group.

The talk of Obama owning a franchise isn’t new though. It was initially discussed when sat down with Bill Simmons for an article with GQ last November.

Bill Simmons:

When asked if he would ever want to own a team, he said “absolutely” and added, “I have fantasized about being able to put together a team and how much fun that would be. I think it’d be terrific.”

Being a Chicago native, President Obama is known to be a Bulls fanatic. Let’s see if he wants to take his talents back home.
