Earlier this month, rapper Freddie Gibbs was arrested in France prior to a performance on his Shadow of a Doubt Tour on rape charges. The arrest came after a woman claimed that she was raped by the rapper last year in Austria. Upon his arrest, Austrian authorities sought to extradite him from France, something Gibbs has fought against. Though he maintains his innocence, one of Gibb’s attorney’s states that the extradition process is what his client is concerned about, not facing justice. Gibbs was released on $56,000 bail last week but today French officials in the city of Toulouse made the decision to extradite the Indiana rapper to Austria to face charges.
