Keyshia Cole is in a little bit of a muck after her former landlord sued her for back rent and property damages. Cole has reportedly been evicted from her home in Santa Monica, California for failing to pay her rent. When her former landlord visited the home, they were left with a nice surprise from the singer.
Cole was renting a home in Santa Monica, California where her landlord reports she failed to pay $19,000 in rent. The landlord filed a lawsuit against the singer to receive his back rent, but when he visited the home, he assessed $150,000 in damages and filed another lawsuit to compensate for this. According to TMZ, the lawsuit says, “the singer put holes in the walls and ceilings, scratched the floor, and destroyed door frames.” The landlord figured the $169,000 wasn’t conducive to the amount of stress the situation carried and sued for an unspecified amount of money for emotional distress.
Cole is no stranger to lawsuits. In 2014, Cole was sued for $1 million dollars after allegedly assaulting a woman in Birdman‘s home. Sabrina Mercadel‘s police report stated that, “Keyshia Cole suggested that she was a prostitute, by telling her, ‘You can get your money later,’ and slapping her ass.”. In 2014, Cole was also forced to pay the IRS $162, 159 in unpaid taxes, according to Contact Music.
It’s rumored that Cole has recently been dating Floyd Mayweather. Hopefully he can help her to weather this storm.
