Back in 2013, former NFL player Hernandez was charged in the death of Odin Lloyd and was later found guilty. Along with Hernandez, his friend Carlos Ortiz was also charged and initially pleaded not guilty.

Today [Tuesday, June 28] news broke that he changed that plea to guilty to accessory. The murder charge against Ortiz was then dropped in exchange for his plea, according to CNN.

Ortiz was sentenced to 4 1/2 to 7 years in prison, bringing an end to criminal proceedings in Odin’s death.
