Skepta dropped his first album in five years, Konnichiwa, in May, but he’s still pounding the pavement. Today, he’s unleashed a new cut, “Coming Soon,” featuring iLoveMakonnen and a much more light-hearted sound than we’re used to from the Boy Better Know artist, who invoked the gritty, grimy, fast-paced atmosphere his London surroundings inspire for much of his latest LP.
Makonnen on the other hand has been rather quiet since news broke that he’d amicably separated from Drake‘s OVO Sound label, but reports that he’ll soon be retiring from music don’t seem to carry much weight as of yet, and this latest collab is another indication of that.
