Rapper DMX has joined the cast of the woman-centered, indie film called Pimp.
Helmsman/writer Christine Crokos focuses on the hustle and dangers of women in the midst of the illegal sex trade industry. There’s also an underlying love story between a pimp, Keke Palmer and her girlfriend, Haley Ramm who wants out of the sex trade.
The cast also includes Aunjanue Ellis (The Help, Birth Of A Nation), Vanessa Morgan (Finding Carter) and Edi Gather (Twilight). DMX’s role is still under wraps but he has been dabbling in Hollywood recently (marking a return to his Romeo Must Die days, perhaps). He also contributed to the Central Intelligence and Deadpool soundtracks.

Filming of Pimp is currently underway in New York.
