A couple weeks ago, footage surfaced of Popcaan and his MIXPAK crew facing off against Wiz Khalifa and company at the Red Bull Culture Clash event, which is basically a battle in which two artists try to win over a crowd with a personal playlist of diverse jams.
Popcaan would end up winning his contest against Wiz, thanks in large part to his deft use of an alternate version of Drake‘s “One Dance”–which is being referred to, naturally, as the Cultural Clash Dub–that was considered to be the framework of an official remix of the song, featuring two original verses by Drizzy, and a chorus much different than that of the perennial #1 hit in the country.
Fans immediately began calling for a CDQ version of the song, but for the most part, it could only be heard by replaying the video version of Popcaan’s Clash-winning set. Well, that’s changed today, as the official mp3 version of the Culture Clash Dub of “One Dance” has been liberated to Soundcloud. You can listen to it below.
