This past Saturday [June 25] Soulection Radio out of Los Angeles had Chicago’s No I.D. as a special guest on the show. No I.D. dropped an exclusive set, which included a black label snippet from Common.

No I.D. saved the best for very last as he closed the show with Common’s unreleased song, titled “Home” off of his forthcoming album. “Home” is produced by Karriem Riggins, whom Common spoke so highly about previously in an interview with Kelly & Michael.

Per usual, Common is a revolutionary on the track, admitting in the song, “Your name is Common. You were born to fight the norm.”

Soulection teased us with only one verse of the song. Now we have to twiddle our thumbs and replay the best of what we heard with bars like, “In your lyrics use scriptures and passages to make em’ rise like Lazarus, and resurrect it again. They’ll put disrespect on your name then respect it again.”

Check out the “Home” verse below starting at 2:00:36.
