In a new exclusive with Revolt, Lloyd shared insight on what he has learned during his hiatus from the music scene. From leaving old relationships in their rightful past, as well as old habits to make room for new ones, Lloyd seems like his absence was substantial to his growth as an artist, as well as a new work ethic.

In regards to his new song and music video “True,” Lloyd stated: “It was something that I felt was something that was complete enough for me to be able to release right now; and I thought that it was the best representation, the best first step to Wards” (in which he stated was the next project we can expect soon).

“True” is a part of Lloyd’s upcoming EP that will be released through Empire. “The idea was just to keep it as true and as raw and as real as humanly possible through film. I think that the song is really soulful enough that it kind of allows us to not have to over do it with the video and kind of be candid, not lazy but candid, and let people really enjoy the simpler things.”
