Producer Yung Lan released his The Arrival mixtape yesterday [Saturday, July 2]. The project is stacked with 35 tracks and a slew of features, including Fetty Wap, PnB Rock, Lightshow, Kodak Black, Lil Reese, and more. Some tracks are new and some have been previously released.

Track 30 of 35 is the Yung Lan-produced track, “Smile,” from Atlanta’s own Rich Homie Quan (RHQ). It’s been quite some time since a track from RHQ has surfaced, so it’s good to hear him on this track. “Smile” keeps the focus on Rich Homie convincing a girl that he’s well mannered and would never disrespect her. He speaks about  loving a girl for more than her beauty.

Yung Lan and RHQ did a total of three tracks on this tape, and the producer-rapper chemistry is strong between these two. They have done numerous collaborations together, but “Smile” has a melodic taste to it that varies from the other releases.

RHQ’s disappearance from the music scene may be for a good cause. He’s also slowed down on his use of social media, stating: “Social media is killing our society.” Hopefully the release of new music means we’ll be getting a new project soon from RHQ. Stay tuned.
