Wind is expected to pick up between noon and 2 p.m., and the weather is hot and dry, increasing the chance the fire will spread.

Firefighters continued to protect homes from the fire through the night, and at least one plane and two helicopters will be fighting the blaze Sunday. Firefighters are using bulldozers to build fire lines to stop progression of the blaze.
