This month’s issue of Forbes features this year’s top-earning celebrities. Beyoncé Knowles-Carter and husband Shawn “JAY Z” Carter have been named this year’s highest-paid celebrity couple, earning a combined $107.5 million over the past year.
On Forbes Celebrity 100 list—the annual ranking of the world’s top earning superstars—Beyoncé is named No. 34 raking in $54 million. JAY Z is right behind her at No. 36 with $53.5 million. Her No. 1 album Lemonade along with her Formation World Tour have without a doubt contributed to her income. The tour sold out so much she added more tour dates just after releasing the cities and stadiums she’d be performing at.
Although Jay hasn’t released an album recently, Tidal has been a music game changer. Many of this year’s top albums have been exclusively available through the service before being released on other music streaming services, including Lemonade as well as Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo.
Being named the highest-paid celebrity couple is nothing new to the Carter family. They secured that title in 2013 as well. The hardworking couple started the merge-marriage years ago and have many successful years to look forward to.
