After a long stint in jail, the dirty-south legend himself announced Thursday [July 14] his second post-prison performance will take place on September 24.
Gucci Mane (and some special guests who remain nameless) will take center stage at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum, as a part of an “All Lives Matter” Event. The event is set to start at 7 p.m. and a majority of the proceeds will go towards the families Alton Sterling and Philando Castile.
Sterling and Castile are just two examples of death resulting from police brutality, however influential celebrities getting their foot into the door is a key in grabbing the attention of the youth, and thus hopefully creating a difference. In just his second concert since being released from prison, Gucci Mane is taking that initiative.
Prior to this event, Gucci Mane will be performing next Friday night, July 22 at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia. It’s good to see Mr. Ice Cream Face Tattoo back on the mic, especially as he simultaneously promotes a powerful message to people listening.
For those interested in attending this event, the flier is posted above, and tickets for his “Stop the Violence” can be purchased here: http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/1B0050EB9E3D248E.
