Lil Uzi Vert already has his foot on the gas, ready to move into the next direction. One thing Uzi isn’t doing is switching up producers. Maaly Raw is the producer of choice for his new track. Maaly Raw has worked on Uzi’s “Left Right,” “Canadian Goose,” and his personal favorite, “Money Longer.” The two are now gearing up to release more bangers to us.
The song previewed is a longer preview of the song used to promote his upcoming project, The Perfect Luv Tape. “Now I do what I want,” the chorus repeats on the song’s chorus. Uzi is up to his usual ways on the track; bragging about having Brittany Byrd by his side and being financially stable. During the chorus, Uzi says, “Boy I started from the bottom, made my way to the top, remember I had a little, turned that s**t to a lot.”
Currently signed to Generation Now [under Atlantic Records], Uzi Vert has had the backing of both DJ Drama and DJ Don Cannon. Both have stated they have taken a different approach for Uzi than they have with previous artists. This is done by not “throwing him on people” and allowing him to find his own way.
Making his mixtape Luv Is Rage, Uzi became aware of the fact he could make some real money from his skills. When his fan base and supporters grew, so did his ambitions.
