It’s been quite the month for Baton Rouge, Louisiana. From the killing of Alton Sterling to the killing of cops on July 17, things are looking like a war zone in that area. But Boosie Badazz doesn’t see it coming to a stop until they start convicting cops of their wrong doing.

Boosie spoke with older and younger people to get their thoughts on the situations happening in their neighborhood. Frustration, anger, and sadness, spreads as the overall emotions of the people of Baton Rouge.

“I would say Alton Sterling’s situation played a part [in the shootings of cops on Sunday, July 17],” Boosie said. “It’s not just the younger generation, even the older generation… they are upset about it. It’s a lot of anger down there. Everybody I’m talking to when I call, they mad.”

Boosie goes on to explain that everyone is in a bad position. There are people fearing for their lives and the police are concerned for their safety as well. But Boosie believes that until these cops of wrong doing are convicted, then the outrage will proceed without caution.

Boosie wants his people to “calm down and find a better way” instead of lashing out with violence. “If [the cop that killed Sterling] doesn’t get indicted and sent to prison for life, it’s gonna be another war or another shooting.”
