ScHoolboy Q released his Blank Face LP on July 8. Q went on a pit-stop tour, visiting select cities to perform in. Many were disappointed that the TDE rapper didn’t stop in their area, but no need to worry.
ScHoolboy has announced the tour dates for Blank Face. Totaling 63 dates, Q will be begin the tour’s journey in Indianapolis on August 30 with Pro Era’s Joey Bada$$. Q will do 33 U.S. dates before heading to Canada. Q barely leaves any time to rest in between tour days, but the rigorous schedule will not stand in his way.
Blank Face LP was the follow up album to Q’s 2014 release of Oxymoron. This album was not aimed to have hits for the radio, likely knocking off a few extra listens. “Collard Greens” featuring Kendrick Lamar was a strong single on Q’s Oxymoron, getting playback on almost every radio station. With Blank Face, it’s more conceptual and he isn’t looking to appeal to to the radio.
Even though his album just dropped and he should be enjoying the moment, Q is feeling less than excited about his success at the current moment. One of his closest friends was sentenced to 100 years behind bars and Q found out about it on the day of his album release.
“This been my homie before I even knew he was my homie,” Q said. “He was older than me. He was like my first big homie. I wouldn’t have none of this content if it wasn’t for him.”
