Drake and Future have kicked off their “Summer Sixteen” tour. After traveling to Austin on Wednesday, the two artists traveled to Dallas on Friday night [July 22]. Drake’s fanbase in Dallas craved more from Drake, and he was more than happy to give it them.

Drake has always expressed his love for the state of Texas and the energy he receives from the state is amazing. It was enough for Drake to want to go over his time limit to perform. Due to his overtime, Drake was hit with a steep $13,000 fine.

“So if it costs me money, Dallas, Texas, it’s on me, trust me,” Drake told the roaring crowd. DVSN, Roy Woods, and others join Future and Drake during their tour dates. The tour ends September 17th in Vancouver. On the 31st, the tour will take over Toronto.

Drake’s Views album has spent ten weeks at number one on the Billboard 200 charts. With 1.34 million copies sold, Views numbers are quite staggering. It’s most certainly the highest selling album this year. With the revenue being brought in by the album, the 13k fine is not any anxiety for Drake, most likely.
