Seattle-based emcee and one half of Rhymesayers signees Grayskul, Onry Ozzborn, is currently in the midst of one of his most creatively inspired years to date. Fresh on the heels of his recent solo release, Duo, he’s putting those creative juices into overdrive, releasing one intriguing project after another.
In March 2016, Ozzborn released a visual supplement to the album, Duofilm, which featured most of the guests on the album, including fellow Rhymesayer Aesop Rock, indie folk singer Kimya Dawson and Hail Mary Mallon’s Rob Sonic. Ozzborn returns with a video for “Ten & Two,” available on Seattle-based label, 300 Club Records.
“The concept of the song is just hitting rock bottom and finally deciding to change your ways,” Ozzborn tells The Source. “It’s about focusing on what’s important in life, hence the metaphor ‘Ten & Two,’ drive straight and safe—but in life. The video shows me just escaping out to the wilderness and letting it all go. I’m able to vent all alone, where no one can bother you. It’s a therapy of sorts.”
Exclusively available through 300 Club Records, there are only 300 copies on 7″ inch vinyl. Although the company’s first release is Hip Hop, they are not strictly a Hip Hop label. A string of releases that cover a wide range of genres are scheduled for release in the near future. The “Ten & Two” vinyl’s official release date is August 12, 2016.
