According to LA County deputies, the N.W.A. founder stated that the man immediately returned and parked in the same location and that’s when Dre pulled out his phone and began recording, however, according to TMZ, sources claim when Dre pulled out his phone, the motorist remarked, “Here we go again, another black guy with a gun.”

When police arrived at Dre’s home, he was immediately put in handcuffs and searched and no weapon was found. Sheriff’s Capt. Chris Reed told the L.A. Times, “Due to the nature of the call, the person was searched, handcuffed, and briefly detained in a patrol car while deputies investigated the incident.”

Was Dre a victim of excessive force by the police or should normal procedure be to detain an individual simply based on someone’s word?
