It’s been two years since PARTYNEXTDOOR‘s last full-length release, and 21 months since he’s released a project of any kind, so anticipation is understandably high for his next drop. That was believed to finally be happening Friday, July 29, when the inaugural OVO signee would finally drop P3, his oft-teased new album. However, that won’t be the case.

PND will still drop P3 this summer, but we’ll have to wait a couple more weeks for the project. In a press release, Warner Bros. Records, the label that houses Drake‘s OVO Sound label announced that P3 will in fact drop August 12. Hopefully PARTY uses the extra couple weeks to drop another single to add to fan favorites “Come and See Me” featuring Drake, and “Not Nice.”

The August release date interrupts the trend of PND’s PARTYNEXTDOOR projects being released in July. His debut, self-titled project dropped on July 1, 2013, and the sequel was released on July 22, 2014. Regardless, it’s clear he’s aiming to rule the summer every time out.
