The last few weeks have been daunting in the music industry, with music leaks a major issue causing artists to share their deep concern with the ongoing problem.
Recently, after the leaks of songs from Future and Chance The Rapper, a song from the soundtrack of the movie Suicide Squad was posted online. The song in question was “Heathens” created by the duo Twenty One Pilots.
It was reported by TMZ that only a day before the leak of “Heathens,” the single was sent to many people including label execs and band members.
The song was uploaded to Reddit and caused Atlantic Records to officially release the track the following day. Atlantic therefore issued a subpoena to the site to find the culprit.
The Suicide Squad soundtrack is bound to attract Hip Hop heads with songs featuring Eminem, Lil Wayne, Kevin Gates, Action Bronson, and more.
The action film will also feature Will Smith and Common, both rappers with a successful acting career.
Suicide Squad will be in theaters on August 5 and the soundtrack will be released the same day on iTunes.
