Clinton made history last night while becoming the first woman to accept a presidential nomination for a major party. It could have been her words or the fact that both Republican and Democratic nominees had finished their pleas to the American public. Either way, a noticeable spike in voter registration occurred.

Earlier that day, Harper’s Bazaar premiered a cover story of couple Kardashian and Kanye West. Search results for Kardashian’s name peaked before declining around 7:30 p.m. But “register to vote” did not make a dent into her results in election-determining states until Clinton’s acceptance.

The term also gained more traction last night than during the GOP Convention.
