Staying in his element, rapper Snoop Dogg is brushing up on his acting chops and keeping things green.
Guest starring on a new weed-centered comedy Mary + Jane, the MTV show will have the multi-talented artist playing a “special” role. In the half-hour series, the storyline follows two best friends and girl bosses who run their own all-female weed delivery service in Los Angeles. Who could have thought of a better show for Snoop to appear on?
During a panel at the Television Critics Association press tour this past Sunday [July 31], one of the executive producer of the series Deborah Kaplan spoke on the show and Snoop’s role: ““You don’t know when he’s going to appear. You have to watch all the way to an end to see him…We’re hoping that going forward, people who are weed-friendly and comedy-friendly will see the show, get excited about it and just want to come out and play,”
Mary + Jane premieres September 5 at 10 P.M. EST on MTV.
