Karrueche Tran is set to play a spunky manicurist and Niecy Nash will play the salon’s owner. Rashida Jones, actress and daughter of Quincy Jones, is the executive producer along with Eliot Laurence. The show is being described as “a dark, wickedly funny meditation on female badness that follows the rise of five diverse and treacherous Florida manicurists in the traditionally male world of organized crime. We will soon find out there is a lot more going on at the Nail Artisan of Manatee County salon than silk wraps and pedicures.”

Karrueche’s character’s name is Virginia and Nash’s is Densa Sims. We can only imagine the on-camera chemistry that the two will have once the show airs. Nash is a seasoned comedic actress who has recently starred in Scream Queens. Tran is fairly new to the acting world but is landing roles left and right like her recent role in Relationship Status and 3-Headed Shark Attack.

It sounds as if we can expect a whole lot of Black woman aesthetic in the series along with some witty banter and comedic portrayals on both of the actresses’ parts. While there is no set release date, we will have our eyes and ears glued to the TV screen as soon as it airs.
