You would think a business move such as signing with a super team would only have a major effect on the hardwood floor. Not so fast. Even teachers are using something as substantial as Kevin Durant going to Golden State as motivation for students to grind hard and earn their rewards the proper way. You need an example, let’s turn to algebra teacher Tucker Hein. Mr. Hein, a recent graduate from the University of Oklahoma, seemed heartbroken over Durant’s decision to leave OKC and sign with Golden State Warriors. He took out his frustration by creating the “No-KD zone”.

When Tucker spoke to local news channel 9 in Oklahoma, he had this to say about the notion.

He says he was wanting something to remind his students to work hard, and he came up with the KD bulletin board idea the day before school started.

He told me he wondered if people would think it was stupid, and never dreamed it would get so much attention, or he would have made it look nicer.

Hein says when his students saw it, they got into a big debate about Durant leaving the Thunder, and that his boss, the school principal, cracked up when he saw it.

What a way to get the students amp’d up for the upcoming school year. Major shout-outs goes out Mr. Hein for inspiring the students to work hard.
