The crop of young female emcees quickly catching traction can’t neglect to mention Kamaiyah, who dropped a critically-acclaimed mixtape last year–A Good Night in the Ghetto–then graduated to hook duties on YG and Drake‘s hit single, “Why You Always Hatin’?” earlier this summer.
The exciting Oakland upstart has returned to her solo campaign this week with a music video for “How You Want It,” which you can watch above. Kamaiyah’s biggest moment might be the YG single, but we’ve seen her own hype snowball before with “How Does It Feel?,” and we’d be surprised if “How You Want It” doesn’t spark a similar reaction.
