“Frank Ocean Watch” 2016 takes another interesting turn. Pigeons & Planes recently spoke with an Apple Music representative and were reassured of the coming of Boys Don’t Cry—like in the next few days.
In an exchange on the customer service chat room [Friday, August 12], the representative confirmed the album would debut within 24 to 72 hours. “The album might be released soon,” they said, noting that the given time frame comes from Ocean’s camp and not Apple Music itself. The new date is not on the cryptic library card the singer previously gave fans.
With several rumored dates so far for Boys Don’t Cry, who knows how many fans will wait until a midnight release this time? It is about halfway through the estimated window of arrival, so a pleasant surprise could possibly await anxious fans.
