In 2014, when he was in need of a hit record, T.I. called on Young Thug, a wild card, impulsive rapper from Atlanta focused on finding his footing in the mainstream. “All About The Money” helped both rappers achieve their goals in short order. The song gave Tip his biggest hit since 2010’s “That’s All She Wrote,” and gave Thug a bonafide smash with which to shut down festivals and arenas.
Since then, it seems like Tip and Thugger haven’t missed. They re-connected twice last year, on “War” and Thug’s Barter 6 album, on “Can’t Tell.” This time around, they’re placed on 3rdy Baby‘s new mixtape, Margiela Music 3, on a brief cut titled “Bobby Womack.” T.I. reserves his talents for hook duties this time around, but Thugger doesn’t disappoint, coasting his way through several rapped octaves to a finish that clocks in at just over two minutes.
