Rapper 50 Cent and Courtney Kemp, Power creator, producer and showrunner, is being sued for major copyright infringement.

On Wednesday (Oct 19.), attorney Monique Pressley, the firehouse lawyer who defended Bill Cosby against rape allegations, announced the fraud, copyright and breach of contract lawsuit against the “In Da Club” rapper, along with the hit series producers, Starz Entertainment and CBS Studios.

Black Keller and Larry Johnson filed the suit in California Central District Court, requesting for the immediate stop of Power, claiming copyright infringement of Johnson’s two-part manuscript, Tribulations of a Ghetto Kid, written twelve years ago under his pen name, “The Ghost.”

Keller and Johnson wants to be compensated for producers stealing similar verbiage, character names and plot lines.

Requested damages of the lawsuit are unspecified.
