First heard on his acclaimed There’s Alot Going On EP, the forceful song addresses the fateful shooting death of Chicago teenager Laquan McDonald at the hands of police officers two years ago in October of 2014.

“This record is like self-defense,” said Mensa of the track. “Because to me Laquan McDonald represents Emmett Till, which represents every name down the line, and since then a lot of things have changed, but one main thing [that] hasn’t changed is that our lives are not respected.”

Earlier this evening, Vic took to Chicago’s Millenium Park to debut the video at the Justice for Laquan Rally! CPAC Now! Protest & March. Now, the video is available for all, both members and non-members of TIDAL’s streaming services, to view in full.
