To add to the anticipation of the 2016-17 season, NBA Digital, which is jointly managed by the NBA and Turner Sports, has decided to give the nod to actor and rapper Daveed Diggs for the new image spot that will run on NBA TV and across NBA’s social channels. Diggs originated the role of Thomas Jefferson in the 2015 musical Hamilton for which he won a Grammy Award and Tony Award in 2016.  He currently appears on Season 3 of Black-ish and serves as the vocalist and writer for the experimental hip-hop and rap group clipping.
