The early portion of October, presented us with a down-and-out Kid Cudi— letting us all know of his struggle with depression and suicidal urges. Opting to go into rehab, the outpour of support for Cudi was enormous. People from various walks of life displayed their support for the Cleveland artist and it also brought more attention to the subject of mental health.
Since that sad day, Cudi has made his return to ComplexCon and performed alongside Travis Scott, who sees Cudi as one of the biggest influences and role models ever. Surfin’ through the love he received, Cudi seems to be doing a lot better now — with a newly penned letter on Facebook. He thanks his fans, Travis Scott, Kanye West, Monica, and plenty more.

Due to the fact that Cudi went to rehab, his Passion, Pain, & Demon Slayin’ LP was put on pause. He’s released two singles thus far: “Surfin” and “Frequency.” Hopefully we’ll be able to put our ears to some new Cudi music soon.
