The R&B sensation TLC, comprised of Chilli and T-Boz and the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes who passed in 2002, has announced a final album. They are asking their millions of fans to help pay for the costs associated with recording it via A Kickstarter campaign that was recently launched in the group’s name with the goal of raising $150,000 in about a month.
Chilli and T-Boz are offering several perks that come with certain levels of financial donation. To ensure that everyone can take part in the fundraising, special rewards start for those who give just $5 and go on from there. The first gift is a special remix of a song from the upcoming album only available to those who have donated. Other incentives include going to the movies with one of the members, a workout session with Chilli and a slumber party with both remaining members.
To maintain creative control the duo is asking for help of their fans and are looking to work with known and new songwriters and producers to complete the full album.
