In a lawsuit filed last week by Aspire Music Group in Manhattan, The label claims Cash Money purposely interfered with their recording deal with Drake.

“Defendants have brazenly engaged in a systematic and pervasive effort to cheat Plaintiff out of its contractual entitlement to tens of millions of dollars in profits and royalties, and to its one-third ownership interest in the copyright to Drake’s first six albums. Plaintiff brings this action to right this egregious wrong,” the suit claims.

The lawsuit says that the Williams brothers tried to beat the label out of the $4 million owed to them for having Drake churn out his first six albums.

Lil Wayne is also suing CMR for $51 million, claiming Birdman and Cash Money are not releasing his money and his highly anticipated The Carter V album.
