Recently, Riri had to come up with a new way to shut down haters on the Internet. Everything began last week when some new pictures of the singer surfaced online. And while her fanbase was busy praising her looks, pro-bro site Barstool Sports decided to shame the singer with the article, “Is Rihanna Going to Make Being Fat the Hot New Trend?”
After the story faced heavy backlash, Barstool Sports’ founder David Portnoy reportedly suspended Spags because the story wasn’t funny enough – not because of its misogynistic nature. “If you’re gonna blog about Rihanna gaining weight you better be funny as f–k and you better make it bullet proof,” he said during a press conference.
Rihanna is not the one to directly respond to critics – she rather takes the funny road and, instead of picking up a fight, makes fun of them in return.
