Terror Squad’s First Lady Remy Ma brought all of the feminine legends from Hip Hop’s past and present to grace the stage at this year’s Summer Jam concert sponsored by HOT 97.
Rem re-introduced rap vets Lil Kim and Queen Latifah to the new millennium crowd before allowing newcomers Cardi B and BK’s Young M.A. to get their thing off in front of the capacity crowd.
Other notable femcee attendees include MC Lyte, Rah Digga, Lady Of Rage and Monie Love.
Remy couldn’t end her set without a little competitive spirit, performing her “Shether” track, which is of course aimed at her rap nemesis Nicki Minaj.
Nevertheless, yesterday serves as an example that the game needs the women just as much as its machismo.
