The Hip-Hop world has been without Sean Price for two years, but fortunately we will not have to go much longer without the Brownsville icon’s music. Duck Down Records announced through a Twitter video that the Boot Camp Clik member’s first posthumous album, Imperious Rex, will be released later this summer. We now know the album, his first since Mic Tyson in 2012, will be released on August 8th at a special album release show held at Brooklyn Bowl. The show includes a gong performance and karaoke for fans. The August 8th date signifies the two-year anniversary of his passing, making this all the more special.

The first single from the album, “Definition of God,” was released on March 17, what would have been Price’s 45th birthday. Duck Down Records is commemorating his legacy with a limited edition Silverback Gorilla Box sex, including his the entirety of his discography as a solo artist and other merchandise.

You can gear up for the album release by listening to the Stu Bangas-produced single, “Definition of God” below and find information on the album release show here. We have a strong feeling this is just the beginning of what is to come from Sean Price’s camp.
