After finishing up “Forbidden Fruit” his hit song from Born Sinner featuring Kendrick Lamar, he transitioned seamlessly into “Neighbors” off of 4 Your Eyez Only. Cole revealed that the “Neighbors” beat was “Forbidden Fruit” in reverse, with some edits, which made it clear why the transition went so well and he arranged his set in that way.

Cole is not the only artist to have done this, but it adds to his credibility and originality as both an artist and producer. It also leads us to wonder what other songs he’s done that have incorporate elements from his previous work. You can check out video of the live performance below, Tweeted by a fan.
