It would be assumed that Lonzo Ball, the one and done first round draft pick to the Los Angeles Lakers would be the talk of the sports world especially after a MVP worthy performance during the NBA Summer League. Nonetheless, Lonzo’s dad, LaVar Ball, and his controversial prophecies in regards to his three very talented sons is what continues to make headlines — and now those headlines have scored LaVar Ball and his family a new reality show to be aired on Facebook’s new platform, Facebook Watch.
The new reality show titled, Ball In The Family gives fans a front row seat into the lives of the Ball family beyond the basketball court. From the relationship the boys have with their father to enduring the changes that came with the aftermath of their mother’s stroke, ‘Ball In the Family’ humanizes the Big Baller Brand and gives us more than just the highlight reel. In addition to Lonzo, we will get to know LaVar’s two other prodigy sons, LiAngelo Ball, who has followed in his brother’s footsteps as a freshman at UCLA, and LaMelo Ball who is a high school sensation who committed to UCLA at the age of 13.
Ball In The Family aired it’s first two episodes on Facebook on August 31st under the Bunim/Murray production company in which also produces Keeping Up With the Kardashians and MTV’s Real World. The family’s first episode achieved 5.4 million views and the second episode brought in 610,000 views. The show will begin to air every Sunday starting on September 10th.
