Last night, rapper Ludacris posted on his Instagram what looked like a confirmed new release date for Fast and Furious 9.

The film is said to premiere on April 10, 2020, a year after its initial release date after being pushed back by Universal. The studio has not disclosed the reason for the push back but has already made space in the 2020 slot by moving the animation Trolls 2 forward two months (April 10, 2020 to February 14, 2020).

Now, of course fans had to jump in the comments and share their opinions on whether or not there should even be another one, and if adding another year to the wait is just too much. Many were here for it and a few others felt that it was absolute ludicrous! No pun intended.

It has been rumored that all cast members will be returning to the set of F9 except Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as he has yet to officially sign on. Allegedly there are talks about a spinoff featuring Jason Statham and Dwayne Johnson, and the film is set to release in 2019. Launched in 2001, all eight films collectively grossed 5 billion worldwide. Furious 7 not only featured the late Paul Walker but brought in 1.5 billion globally making it top earner. Recently Vin Diesel announced that he will be “Fast and Furious live tour”. Using your favorite cars from the series and the most advanced technology, the show will give fans the opportunity to relive their most extreme and favorite moments; until 2020…
