Harvey was pretty apologetic in a statement he gave Timesexplaining that things in the workplace was different when he was coming up.

I came of age in the 60’s and 70’s, when all the rules about behavior and workplaces were different. That was the culture then. I have since learned it’s not an excuse, in the office – or out of it. To anyone.

He claims to respect women and regrets his action. He even went on to cite JAY-Z’s 4:44 saying that he can empathize with lyrics from the same-titled track.

I so respect all women and regret what happened. I hope that my actions will speak louder than words and that one day we will all be able to earn their trust and sit down together with Lisa to learn more. JAY-Z wrote in 4:44 ‘I’m not the man I thought I was and I better be that man for my children.’ The same is true for me.

The only issue is, Hov never said that. The only line in the song that sounds kinda similar to Harvey’s citation is:

And if my children knew
I don’t even know what I would do
If they ain’t look at me the same
I would prob’ly die with all the shame

How remorseful is he if he didn’t even take the time out to see if he was spitting the right lyrics?
