LL Cool J could be on his way to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. LL has been nominated for induction into the reputable club, making him the only emcee in the 2018 nominees.

In order to be eligible for the famed institution, an artist had to drop their release album at least 25 years prior to the album they’re getting inducted for. LL’s first studio album Radio, spawned records like “I Can’t Live Without My Radio”, “Rock the Bells”, and “You Rock”, and propelled him to megastardom.

Other artists nominated include Bon Jovi, Kate Bush, The Cars, Depeche Mode, Dire Straits, Eurythmics, J. Geils Band, Judas Priest, MC5, The Meters, Moody Blues, Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine, Rufus featuring Chaka Khan, Nina Simone, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Link Wray and The Zombies.
