There are a lot of great things that comes from Chicago, Illinois. Chance the Rapper, the Chicago Bulls, Joefreshgoods and now, the biggest Adidas company store in the world. The new 4,966 square foot flagship is located in the Wicker Park area of Chicago, adding a new cultural vibe and energy to the surrounding neighborhood. The building used to be home for both Reckless Records and Rodan, an Asian fusion lounge, but have now combined, creating an open, industrial space for the brand.

The city’s transit system plays the role of inspiration for the location, with custom signs displayed throughout the store, ones similar to the train lines and various stations. To further enhance a Chicago feel, customized art work by local artists POSE and TUBSZ, can also be seen at the location. There is also rotating gallery wall curated by nonprofit organization IPaintMyMind, a nonprofit organization that partnered with Adidas. Artists such as BJ The Chicago Kid and Knox Fortune performed at the opening party, this past Wednesday, with DJ ELZ on the turn tables. Saint Alfred and RSVP Gallery, two other street wear and sneaker stores sits in the same neighborhood of the flagship.

“The Adidas Originals flagship store in Chicago shows our ongoing commitment to exploring new and innovative ways to be part of the local community. Said Pascha Naderi-Nejad, Senior Brand Director in the official press statement.“Now our largest adidas Originals store in the world, everything about it exemplifies how we partner with creators who have shared values and an ability to push the bounds of creativity. We’re continuously inspired by Chicago, and the store enables us to celebrate the pioneering culture and creativity the city has to offer. We are excited to be based in Wicker Park and look forward to building new relationships in the neighborhood.”
