At the start of the preseason it was already known that James was suffering from an ankle injury which caused him to miss several games. It turns out he re-aggravated his injury last night in his preseason debut against the Chicago Bulls.

With the opener against the Celtics less than a week away, the entire city of Cleveland could be holding their breath awaiting the word of his status. This isn’t a severe injury, but fans have been licking their chops at the chance to see LeBron James go up against his former sidekick Kyrie Irving.

It’s clear that the Cavaliers are going to be super cautious with LeBron and his ankle as he will not take part in any action for the rest of this week, however his status for the season opener is still up in the air.
