Lionsgate released the movie trailer for the Wu-Tang deity, RZA directed musical drama Love Beats Rhymes on Wednesday October 11th. The movie was originally titled Coco which is the name of the main character played by Azealia Banks.

Clearly, RZA is not sweating his last riff with Banks to still make this happen. Last year, “The Big Big Beat” singer made a claim that Russell Crowe assaulted her at a party RZA invited her too. In response to the claims, RZA stated Banks instigated things and Crowe had to remove her from the premises. In a recent Hot 97 interview featuring Allah Mathematics, RZA acknowledged Banks on her impressive work ethic, “As an actress, she showed up every day and delivered. Even the studio execs said she was good. She has a natural talent.”

Love Beats Rhymes is sanctioned in modern day times and placed along the journey of 25-year-old Coco, as she aims to become a rapper and craves to improve her skills to better her chance of getting into the music industry. Coco proceeds to take a poetry class in which the instructor Professor Dixon who is played by songbird, Jill Scott challenges her reach. The aspiring rapper eventually gets into the culture of poetry clubs (which is where the character presence of Common comes in) and ends up reaching a great chunk of her goal. Love Beats Rhymes is also starring Lucien Laviscount, Lorraine Toussaint and Hana Mae Lee.

Going by the looks of this trailer above, this musical bound drama is providing a generously inviting vibe, especially with such a stirring cast. This will be the second feature film directed by RZA.

In other RZA related news, Wu-Tang’s newest album Wu-Tang: The Saga Continues produced by both the RZA and Allah Mathematics was released and is currently available for grabs.

Love Beats Rhymes will be out in select theaters and also available digitally on December 1st.
