Bill Condon sat down with Yahoo! Movies and revealed that he tapped into Beyonce when he was doing his casting call for the flick. “I even tried to get her into Beauty and the Beast, but it wasn’t a big enough part,” Condon said. ” She would have been a good feather duster.”

Imagine the Queen Bey playing a feather duster? Maybe if he offered her a role as the Beauty, she might have considered it. Condon and Bey have worked together previously in the past. He was one of two directors to put her in her first musical MTV’s Carmen: A Hip Hopera, and they collaborated in the 2006 film Dreamgirls.

Although Beyonce didn’t join the cast, she showed love by appearing at the film’s premiere in L.A. with her family. The movie, released in March 2017, later grossed $1 billion at the global box office.
