In a recent post on IG, reality star turned rapper Cardi B revealed that she has inked a publishing contract with Sony/ATV.

After spending the entire summer with her smash hit “Bodak Yellow” at the pole position in Billboard’s Hot 100 and winning Single of the Year at the BET Hip Hop Awards earlier this month, Cardi has more great news to celebrate.

Rick Brim, Sony/ATV’s Co-President called Cardi “one of a rare breed of unique artists who the industry only witnesses occasionally,” after the announcement was made. Sony/ATV senior director of A&R Jennifer Drake said, “Cardi B is honest, real and refreshing and has the confidence to say exactly what she is thinking and feeling. It’s tangible and you can connect to that. We are so proud to be able to work with a talented artist like Cardi and excited to see her push the culture forward.”
