While the late Notorious B.I.G. had hits like Juicy, Hypnotize and Everyday Struggle, the Brooklyn borough must be smiling from heaven above because millennials have taken t-bone steak, cheese eggs and Welch’s grape jelly next level.

No, really!

The act of ‘brunching’ is everything to many. Picture a Sunday at noon. It’s the sabbath and a day to recuperate from the labors of a hard fought week.

What to do? Sleep more or fill up on a good meal? Well if you’re anything like most hungry 20-40 somethings food is life. Food while rubbing with working professionals?

Over the last few years, AMG Entertainment Group has made that humanly possible thanks to the ever-growing demand of Henny & Waffles.

Washington, D.C., Atlanta, and New York City has touched the hem of the garment of the ever-growing Henny & Waffles brunch craze.

$15 unlimited mimosas, a DJ, with a theme? We’ll take it. Excellence has become the standard, with perfection being the goal of Henny & Waffles founders, Kenneth Stanard and Charles Mbadugha.

Mbadugha, a Morgan State alum and Stanard, a Hampton University alum had vision keener than a Steph Curry pass in transition to curate an affordable, good, clean and fun environment that includes a DJ, bottle service and other amenities for thriving, young professionals and established adults.

Simply put: while nightclubs and lounges are cool, the exclusivity of their events with like-minded folks is a draw. Many have been receptiv. “It’s important to the culture because it bridges the gap of what millennials love,” Stanard told The Source Magazine by phone.

“We enjoy brunch and day parties.”

While lunches, brunches, interviews by the pool. Considered a fool ’cause I dropped out of high school was a 90s feeling. Stereotypes of a black male misunderstood and it’s still all good has evolved.

Additionally, Ludacris, four time NBA All Star, Washington Wizards guard and former NBA Slam Dunk champion John Wall, actress Angela Simmons and hip hop rising star Dave East have been out to support Henny & Waffle’s events.

The ultimate blueprint for Henny & Waffles is to continue to provide attendees with a unique experience, grow the event and ultimately expand to other major cities like Philadelphia, PA, Los Angeles, CA and Charlotte, NC.

The next conquest?

Well it’s homecoming season at HBCUs. That said, Henny & Waffles is invading Washington, D.C. this weekend. All stars will align this weekend as Henny & Waffles will take their show to the gathering that is Howard University homecoming weekend with their brunch commencing on Sunday October 22, 2017 at Club Bliss.

Food, drinks and good conversation will be the focal point. DJ Reggie Nell, DJ Marvalous, DJ Schemes, Justin Wright aka The Bearded Drummer are scheduled to be in attendance. $8 Hennessy will be the drink of choice along with the standard $15 mimosas during brunch.

It is surely lit!
