Well, legends don’t do music with everybody.
That’s what pop singer Pink revealed in a Sirius XM interview when she said that Mary J. gave her a flat out NO when she asked to do a duet with her.
“I went in her trailer a long time ago, I think it was when I hosted the Lady of Soul Train or Soul Train Awards,” the “You’re Beautiful” songstress admitted on the SiriusXM’s Morning Mashup.
“I walked into her trailer and I was like, ‘Hi, would you ever work with me?’ She just took one look at me and she goes, ‘No’. I go, ‘OK! I love you, Mary! I’ll see you again!'”
Pink said that she respected MJB for her brutal honesty as opposed to the common, yet fake industry pleasantries.
“That’s what I love about her,” she added. “I respect it because so many people will be like, ‘Yeah, call me!'”
