A Lionsgate and Tyler Perry film, Acrimony focuses on Oscar nominee actress Taraji P. Henson’s character Melinda, who is enraged after discovering her husband Robert, played by Lyriq Bent, is cheating on her. The dark and thrilling trailer show’s clips of Henson in a courtroom and various scenes of her telling a therapist the love story of her and her husband. Flashbacks show a young Henson (Ajiona Alexus) and Bent’s (Antonio Madison) initial meeting, bumping into each other at college, and then the lead up to their engagement and now troubled 18-year marriage. Henson’s character learns that her husband is living a double life and is engaged to another woman. Acrimony hits theaters on March 30, 2018. Watch the first trailer from the film above.

This is the third movie collaboration of Taraji p. Henson and Tyler Perry who worked together on The Family That Preys and I Can Do Bad all by Myself.
